Flounder cooked in butter, cooked carrots, garden salad, and macaroni and cheese.  
I was going to cook quinoa or something, but Ian actually had a few friends over that ended up staying for dinner, so I thought I'd take the safe route.  Amazingly, even though I've had bad experiences with one of those friends in particular eating our food, both guests were polite and pleasant.  It was a nice surprise.

As for frugality, I used a sale price, manufacturer's coupon AND store coupon yesterday to buy something I've been wanting to snag for a few years now.  I'm not the ultimate couponer, so this is the first time I've ever triple-layered like that.  Wicked good -- eight bucks instead of twenty.
