We've still got pesto in the freezer from last year's garden batch, so we had that on some pasta last night.  We also had baked sweet potatoes and fish sticks.

I should report on our money-saving summer activities, because we already went to the first one last Saturday.  There is apparently a monthly free children's birdwatching walk nearby that we had never heard of until I was browsing the nature society listings, and it was wonderful.  It was in a nature preserve that I hadn't known about and which is only open to the public during scheduled events, which probably explains why I wasn't familiar with it.  It's specifically a preserve geared toward birds, the guide (and the group) was great, and we saw and heard lots in the nearly 2 hours we were there.
