Packing

Currently packing frantically, trying to make our travel departure deadline to go on a weekend trip to our old law school stomping grounds.  And of course, I make things harder for myself by planning on not buying any food along the way.

The quiche is in the oven, the muffins are cooling, I just put the granola in containers, and I made the hummus, hard-boiled eggs, and bread a day or two ago.  (Sourdough bread: travels really well, without getting stale, crumbly, and unappealing over the course of a trip.)

We may be a little late for some of the fall colors -- S. blames the dang soccer season for preventing him from realizing that dream completely -- but we should be in for some lovely Appalachian views nonetheless.  See ya on the other side!
