Birthday dinner for my hubby: Sauteed lamb with tomatoes and yogurt sauce, couscous, Greek-ish salad.
Birthday cake: Apple-pecan ring with caramel sauce, eggnog chiffon, and vanilla bean ice cream.
Never mind that it was a completely crazy day and we didn't eat dinner till about 7:45, and the cake was still in the oven even longer than that.  Then the chiffon wasn't really set until this morning, we served it runny.  It was still nice, and he knew he was loved and thought of by all of us.
