Well, big fail on dinner last night.  I tried a new recipe, and though I was a bit suspicious about the amount of paprika it called for, I trust this particular cookbook author and went ahead.  Inedible.  It made a huge quantity, too, so I froze it all and am hoping to sneak it in small amounts to other future soups and stews rather than throw it away completely. --Sigh-- But it's better to fail and learn, right?  In the meantime, fish sticks were also on the menu (thank heavens) and we had frozen burritos we could pull out of the freezer.
