I tried years ago in college to make bagels and failed spectacularly, but now I seem to have gotten the hang of it. They were an awesome thing to pack in our airplane carry-on for our recent trip across the country, and I look forward to having them in our Saturday morning muffin rotation.
And in other news, this week we're eating all things zucchini. After a few years of crop failure, I overcompensated and am now faced with 3 or 4 pounds of zucchini per day. I think we'll just pull up the plants soon...but in the meantime, we had an awesome stir-fry last night with the freshest, tenderest pea pods and zucchini I've ever eaten. Bring it on.
